Terms

Last updated 9 September 2026

Plain terms for an app that is still being built. Using Bestie means agreeing to these.

What Bestie is

A fitness application that plans resistance-training sessions around what you log. It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, prescribe, or adjust medication, and nothing it shows you is medical advice. Decisions about medication belong to you and your prescriber.

What we do not promise

We do not promise you will lose weight, gain strength, or reach any particular number. Anyone promising you that is guessing. What we do promise is that the plan follows what you log, and that we will tell you why it changed.

Beta

Bestie is in open beta and free while that is true. Some things are unfinished and some will change. If we ever intend to start charging, you will hear it from us first, and using the app will never begin a paid subscription without you choosing one.

Your account

Keep your login to yourself, give us an email address you can actually receive mail at, and do not use Bestie if you are under 18. You can delete your account at any time from inside the app.

Your content

What you log is yours. You give us only the permission we need to run the app for you — to store it, and to process it to build your plan. That permission ends when you delete it.

Safety

Talk to a healthcare professional before starting or changing an exercise routine, particularly if you are managing a health condition or taking prescribed medication. Stop and seek advice if something hurts. Bestie cannot see you and cannot judge whether a session is safe for you today.

Liability

Bestie is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from using it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Contact

Questions, complaints and bug reports go to hello@bestie.app. You get the two people who build it, not a helpdesk.
